Making a case for treating people right

 

When we decided on our core values – quality, protection and innovation – we weren’t just thinking about cases. We were thinking about everything we do, including how we perform as an employer. Those values guide how we work with our staff.

Take BSCI certification. It’s a voluntary set of standards for employers. It covers 11 important principles that you would think are obvious, but are ignored or actively resisted by many manufacturers. These principles include fair pay, fair work hours, no child labour, protection of the environment, ethical business behaviour and more.

We’re BSCI compliant because it aligns naturally
with our values. It’s the right thing to do. We’re
even audited regularly so anyone can confirm we
remain compliant.

We put the principles of BSCI into practice at our factory in Guangzhou, China. We have over 250 staff working together to design, create and manufacture our cases there. Our BSCI compliance makes ITSKINS a company that highly skilled staff want to join.


it’s not all work and no play

 

WE CAN’T IMAGINE BEING A PRODUCER OF DEVICE PROTECTORS USED BY EXTREME SPORTS ENTHUSIASTS AND NOT SUPPORTING SPORTS WHEREVER WE CAN.

Among our staff there is a huge range of sports fans, from football and basketball, to table
tennis and badminton, as well as trekking.

We encourage and support all our staff teams. We supply them with the equipment they
might need and help them cover facility rentals for courts, fields, and tables.

There are also personal victories and milestones to celebrate.

Take birthdays. With 250 employees we could stop for cake almost every day of the year. Tempting as that is, we opt instead for monthly birthday celebrations – one big moment with one big cake for everyone celebrating that month.

For team milestones, lunch or dinner is on us to celebrate the launch of a new design, for new processes spinning up, or for hitting the all important numbers that keep our cases reaching your hands.

WE ALSO PARTICIPATE IN THE LOCAL TRADITIONS OF PRESENTING SMALL GIFTS ON THE SPECIAL OCCASIONS OF WOMEN’S DAY, MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL, DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL, AND OTHERS.

It’s a part of respecting where we are. By choosing to establish our factory in China, we recognise that we also choose to participate in the cultural life of our staff and the city around us.

The highlight is our annual New Year’s party.

It’s huge. A banquet for everyone with gifts, surprises, and an award ceremony where we turn the spotlight, and our gratitude, on the individuals whose skill and dedication keep ITSKINS at the forefront of innovative case design.
